NHTET Exam 2025

NHTET stands for National Hospitality Teachers Eligibility Test. It is conducted by the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT). This exam helps select eligible candidates to become Assistant Lecturers and Teaching Associates in hospitality institutes like IHMs (Institutes of Hotel Management) across India.

Eligibility

  • Must have a full-time Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or Hotel Management

    • Assistant Lecturer: Not more than 35 years

    • Teaching Associate: Not more than 30 years

Exam Pattern

  • Three Papers in One Sitting

    • Paper I: General Awareness, Teaching Aptitude, Reasoning

    • Paper II: Hospitality Subject Knowledge

    • Paper III: Deeper Subject Knowledge

  • Total Questions: 150 (50 in each paper)

  • Total Marks: 400

  • Each question carries 2 marks (except Paper III which has 4 marks each)

  • Negative Marking: Yes (half mark deducted for each wrong answer)
