Mount Carmel College is one of the oldest and most respected women’s colleges in Bengaluru, Karnataka. It was started in 1948 with the aim to offer good education to young women. For over 75 years, Mount Carmel College has helped students grow in learning, skills, and confidence.

The college is approved by UGC and AICTE, and has earned an ‘A+’ grade from NAAC for its high academic quality. In the NIRF Rankings 2023, Mount Carmel College was ranked 37th among the top colleges in India.

Founder and Background

Mount Carmel College was started by the Carmelite Sisters of St. Teresa (CSST). They wanted to give women access to good education and help them become strong and independent in life.

Students can choose from Arts, Science, and Commerce streams. Admission is based on marks or entrance exams. For MBA, Mount Carmel College accepts PGCET, MAT, and CAT scores.
