The college was founded as part of the educational endeavors of the Jain family, particularly in honor of Late Smt. Sharbati Devi Jain (SDJ), the mother of the founder chairman Late Shri Devraj Jain. The chairman of the Paras Group of Industries, Shri Kailashchand Jain, played a key role in starting the college aiming to provide career-oriented and practical education in Surat.
