About MIT - WPU Scholarship

MIT WPU believes that every student deserves a chance to study, no matter their financial background. That’s why the university provides many scholarships to help students with their education costs. Scholarships are given based on merit, need, sports achievements, and special categories.

One of the main types is the Merit Scholarship, which is for students who get high scores in entrance exams like JEE, MHT CET, or in Class 12. These students can get a big discount on their tuition fees. The higher the marks, the more the discount. There are also Scholarships for Girls, where girls applying to certain programs get financial help.

Students from low-income families can apply for Need-Based Scholarships. They must show income proof and pass the basic academic requirements. MIT WPU also provides Scholarships for Wards of Defense Personnel, and those who have done well in sports at the state or national level.

The scholarship application process is simple. After admission, students can fill out a scholarship form on the official website. They must attach documents like marksheets, income certificates, or award certificates. Once verified, the university informs students if they are selected for a scholarship.

Dr. Vishwanath Karad Merit Scholarship

Dr. Vishwanath Karad Merit Scholarship provides 100% fee waiver for the entire duration of the programme. However, students need to meet the below-mentioned conditions. Moreover, this scholarship is available only to the 5% of the approved intake for the respective programme.

MIT WPU  Merit Scholarship

MIT-WPU Merit Scholarship is available for only one year for the first-year UG and PG programmes. The eligible students for 100% MIT WPU  scholarship need to pay the provisional admission fee / first instalment of fee on or before the last date of admission notification. The university adjusts this fee against the fee payable for subsequent years.

Scholarship to Rank Holders

This scholarship programme is for the rank holders of UG, PG, and Integrated Diploma (6Yrs.) programmes (expect M. Tech and M. Pharm where the stipend is applicable) who secure the 1st and 2nd ranks in the respective MIT-WPU annual examinations. However, it is not applicable to the students who are already getting any other MIT-WPU scholarships like Dr. Vishwanath Karad 100% Merit Scholarship, MIT-WPU Merit Scholarship, or any other stipend.

Scholarships to Elite Sportsman

This scholarship is exclusively for any student who participates or wins a medal at west zone inter-university, all India inter-university, national or international level while representing MIT-WPU. Students playing for any Govt. sponsored or Govt. recognised official sports organisations (IDA, BCCI, etc.) in any nationally or internationally recognised sporting event are also eligible.
