Government College of Education (GCE), Chandigarh was established in August 1954. It is located in Sector 20, Chandigarh, and is a government-run institution affiliated with Panjab University. The college is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and the University Grants Commission (UGC). Recently, it earned an A+ grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), making it one of the top five teacher training colleges in India to reach that level.
